After Hours Emergencies

If you experience a life-threatening emergency, please dial 911 immediately.

If you have an urgent matter after hours and need to speak with Dr. Buckman or the physician covering for Dr. Buckman, you may call the answering service at (804) 346-5713 and they will page the doctor on call.

Referrals

Many insurance companies require a referral for a visit to a specialist's office. Please make sure to contact your insurance company and/or your primary care physician to ensure that you do get a referral if one is required. Failure to obtain a referral, when necessary, may cause your insurance company to deny your claim.

If prior authorization for testing or surgery is needed, our office will obtain this from your insurance company.

Medical Records

Medical records are confidential. We will not release information about your care to anyone, including other family members, without a signed release. Please allow up to a week to process these requests.
